Poetry Day
Today is Poetry Day,and food inspired lots of poets. Think of the Haggis by Robert Burns, a poem on Salad by Pierre de Ronsard, and on a Leg of Lamb by Joseph Berchoux. Poems put to music also cover a multitude of food and drink references. Most famous maybe is the Kaffee cantate by Johann Sebastian Bach.
